19: Sesh

Much like the motif of time in “Quarter Past Twelve”, seshes (ranging from intoxicants to just talking about haircare. Literally everything is a sesh) in Turkey I’ve found are different from the seshes I’ve had throughout my life.

Here, seshes are usually with the same group of friends, although recently I’ve started meeting people outside of ZD and it’s very refreshing. Talking to people with a different mindset regardless of the linguistic barrier, seems to be very freeing and fun.

So I’m not sure if this is obvious or but I’m no longer sober, after going about 8 days off everything I spent the past 3 nights very intoxicated, some cross as well. İ don’t really feel guilty this time around though, because I’m glad I was able to go 8 days and I know I’ll be able to go more if I chose to. Well I hope.

I digress, seshes are very inviting. They are warm and comfortable and completely nonjudgmental. To be honest it’s ironic, stereotypically the main seshes should be thought of as being a place to smoke and talk shit, but seshes are often very reflective. Except yesterday, yesterday the boys used this blog as evidence against me in an argument during the sesh.

not cool boys

I feel we all should have people, different people, not very agreeable people, my sesh consists of conservative perspectives to the most liberal, I feel everyone should have groups like that. It allows you the ability to get feedback without getting judgement.

Be grateful for the ones you have, and if you don’t, find one.
