Law school.

There’s but a handful of people, and only one I kinda still talk to that know about how i wanted to be a lawyer.
When I was in college I remember a time where uni apps were opening up, oof there was no concept of a gap year then, no concept of a pause or a break. Just constant continuation, and constant conversation. Friends going to business school, friends going to do whatever the fuck they got in for, most going to lums, one going to study pure math…wtf, one to stanford and another going to change the world with her anthro skillz. I was always confused, i never knew. i kinda knew from an early age, that there isn’t much i cant do if im driven, but i needed a driving force. That force the one helping me make the decisions, was in dire need to go to music school back then. How times change, interests change. I’m legit a freshman doing philosophy for the second time now, thanks life. They’ve all almost graduated, one already has omg. I wonder what they’ll all do with life.

When I was making the decisions at first i thought maybe law school was for me. Maybe I could become a corporate agent, at that time tbh i honestly wanted to become a chef. i tried that and realised i’d rather feed my friends and have sunday night dinners. my passion doesn’t go beyond providing my friends and family some smiles and a full stomach. cookings been hard here, most of the ingredients i cant read the names of, i never got around to buying kitchen supplies, just a pan. Why would I? I did in the UK but i left all that behind. But somewhere along the line i thught fuck it lets go to lums keep life simple stay in the bubble. I suppose that rejection was the first time it had popped in a couple years. I could’ve applied again, gotten in probs too cause idk mygrades got pretty good post AS ignorance. but i decided i’d go to the UK study philosophy and religion. Sometimes i think of myself as someone who has to wear a suit, i used to love to. ill be caught dead in a tshirt and jeans at this point.

not too sure what i’ll do with my current major, maybe dropping psych in will make me even more teacher worhy, haha. idk. i’m okay with mundane and with simple. my biggest mistake was wanting more when i really needed to just give myself a few hours a day of me time. I don’t think i can handle that anymore.
